Old Bon Air's hidden Mid-Century gem - Highland Hills!

Fantastic Opportunity to Tour 5 Homes in Highland Hills here in Richmond Va

Highland Hills is a delightful un-discovered gem here in RVA.

The neighborhood is located just over the City line and nestles into the rolling terrain of Bon Air. Built in the 1950's by the famous Charles M. Goodman (who designed the national airport in DC as well as Hollin Hills in DC), the homes are charming, quirky, anachornisitic, in fabulous condition and rather run - down and original. There is even an honest to goodness neighborhood pool. You can easily imagine "The Beaver" riding his bike over to play Marco Polo with his friends.

I had a listing there and many of the neighbors came to my open house. A number of them were the original owners and they had great stories to tell. I totally loved hearing about the neighborhood!

There are some very common characteristics of many of the homes and the one I had listed featured perhaps one of the most predominant. The fireplace wall is brick up to about eye height, and then there are windows above that. I love the look. Here you can see it from the inside and the outside.
